About District Dance
District Dance is a children's dance studio located in Gaithersburg, MD. We proudly provide outstanding dance classes to students in the Kentlands and the surrounding communities.

Dance Classes for Ages 2-7
Shimmer | Dance Classes for Ages 2-7
Children ages 2-7 will be introduced to ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, acrobatics, and creative movement inside our widely popular Shimmer program.
Watch as your child’s eye sparkle with excitement and joy! Listen while they giggle with glee!
This program expertly combines your child’s vivid imagination with a nurturing environment where they are free to learn, flourish, and grow more independent.
Shine | Dance Classes for Ages 7-17
Our Shine Program offers recreational dance classes in the Kentlands to students ages 7-17. Creativity and energy abound as your child makes new friends and explores dance in a supportive environment. Our amazing staff will nurture your child’s confidence and guide them each dance step of the way. Your child will feel excited and empowered to find their path through the performing arts and beyond.
No matter the age, dance discipline or skill level, Shine gives kids the chance to be kids and to learn in engaging, and innovative ways.

Our trials are meant for beginner to intermediate-level dancers. If you have an experienced dancer, please contact us to discuss level placement.
Our competitive teams and thriving ballet program offer an accelerated dance experience with challenging technique classes, dazzling choreography, and multiple performance opportunities throughout the year.
